Meals on Wheels
A good diet is important for everyone, whatever their age. As you get older, especially if you live alone, the effort of cooking can seem less worthwhile. You may end up snacking or skipping meals altogether. A regular supply of nutritious food can help maintain health and wellbeing.
Are the meals frozen?
No. They are all freshly prepared in Seton Hall’s kitchens and delivered daily, Monday to Friday, hot and ready to eat.
Is there a choice of food?
Yes. There is a 4-week menu with three options of main course each day, plus soup and a choice of sweet. Everything is priced individually so you can have any combination you want.
Because our meals are not mass produced, we can supply alternatives to the set menu if you have specific dietary requirements, e.g. gluten free, low fat.
Do I have to take them every day?
No. You only need order what you want. So you could only have our meals once or twice a week if you wished (though they’re so delicious, we expect you’ll want them regularly!).
How much do the meals cost?
This depends on what you order. On average, soup is 80p and main courses cost between £2.30 and £2.80.
